Yes, It’s Summer. Yes, It’s damn hot. And, Yes, We should all be oooing and aaahing over sexy peaches and juicy watermelon… but dang, can’t a girl (insert guy here if it’s relevant) still get down with some chocolate cookies once in a while?
The answer is – and always will be – YES, yes, y’all!
These death by chocolate cookies are major in the cocoa department! Not only do they boast a thick & chewy chocolate bod, but they’re packed with 3 different kinds of chocolate chips to ensure they live up to their title.
Get ready for death by chocolate, because these bad boys are certified killers 😉
Death by Chocolate Cookies – Baker by Nature
Ingredients:
2 all – purpose cups flour
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 sticks (16 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted then brought to room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions:
Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees (F). In a medium sized mixing bowl whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda. In a large bowl stir together the cooled melted butter, both sugars, eggs, vanilla, and cocoa powder. Mix the flour combination into the butter combination, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips, stirring only until they’re evenly – or semi- evenly – distributed. Drop 3 tablespoon sized balls of dough onto prepared sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. Place pan in preheated oven and bake cookies for 9-12 minutes. Cool cookies for 5 minutes on baking sheet before transferring to a cooling wrack to cool completely.

Girlfriend, you can offer to bake chocolate cookies on a 110 degree day in 5,000% humidity, and I’ll be like “turn on that oven!!!” Chocolate knows no season, and these hunks of chocolate love are exactly why. Bring it on!
