Well, at least my home on paper. We don’t live here just yet. But we will someday!
Ok… time to explain, right? One of the bigger projects I’ve taken on in 2015 is remodeling the house I grew up in. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of doing, and the fact that it’s actually happening this year has me stopping to pinch myself every few seconds. It’s just so exciting! News flash: It’s also a ton of work!As you can see the outside of the house is in pretty good condition (I have a soft spot for super homey looking exteriors). But the inside… oh boy. Where do I even begin?
Oh I know! The kitchen. Since I spend 99.9% of my life in the kitchen, this room is one we are planning with great care. First up? Giving the countertops a makeover! The counters are all very, very (VERY) old… and some of them are even beginning to fall apart. It’s pretty bad, you guys!
The good news? I’m teaming up with Formica® Brand to transform my counters from a sight-for-sore-eyes into a place where people want to chop, cook, chat, and linger. I want our new kitchen to feel cozy, comfortable, and… dare I say it, slightly chic. Lucky for me The Formica® Laminate Jonathan Adler Collection is all that and then some! This post is part one of two, and is basically just a teaser. In my next post I am going to be showing you side-by-side before and after pics of our gorgeous new kitchen, and I think you guys are going to just love the new look! I chose the very classy Charcoal Lacquered Linen for our kitchen, but there are so many incredible choices in the collection it was hard to pick just one! I chose the option mainly because we’re planning on doing a very sleek grey/charcoal/smoke colored kitchen, but also because our last kitchen was beige and showed every-single-little-perfection. Light colors have a tendency of doing that! I’m hoping the charcoal is a little more forgiving with this messy baker 😉
Wanna know more? Of course you do 😉 The Formica® Laminate Jonathan Adler Collection is available at Lowe’s and other select kitchen and bath distributors nationwide. To view the full collection or request samples head over to the Formica® Brand website. What color/pattern would you choose?
I really am just so excited to share this process with you guys! Thank you for allowing me to share my recipes and my life with you. xoxo – Ashley
