It’s been a week of hatefully high temperatures here…
This is not good news for a girl who turns into an utter brat when any trace of discomfort gets close to her (my boyfriend is a lucky guy!). I try to not complain… but it’s just so hot!
Lemonade is my go-to problem solver for these kind of sticky situations. It’s an essential in the summer sipping department, and making your own keeps you in control of what goes in it. It’s so simple! It’s so refreshing!
People tend to forgive complaining if you’re pouring them tall glasses of this stuff (especially if you add a little vodka…).
Raspberries, peaches, and lemons are our fruit cast – they’re gorgeous and work very well together. Agave steps in as our sweetener, and does it’s job beautifully! The only other ingredient is good old h20, and that does what it does best – refreshes our beautiful bodies.
Keep cool this week! I have major dessert beauty coming this way next week, and it will be heat complaint free… I hope!
Raspberry-Peach Lemonade – Baker by Nature
Makes about 10 servings
12 lemons, juiced
1- 6 oz container of fresh raspberries
2 peaches, peeled and chopped into small pieces
3/4 agave nectar
3 3/4 cups of water (divided)
In a large pan, bring 3/4 cup water and all of the agave nectar to a boil, stir and reduce to low and simmer until the agave is completely dissolved. Add fruit and continue to simmer on low for another 10 minutes. Once fruit is almost completely dissolved, strain through a fine mesh strainer and set mixture aside to cool. Juice your lemons and pour lemon juice into a large pitcher with the remaining 3 cups of water. Finally stir in the fruit/agave mixture well and pour over glasses full with ice.

This looks amazing but I’m allergic to agave.
Do you suggest anything else, honey, sugar, raw sugar?
Thanks!

Hi Linz! You could definitely make a simple syrup (half boiling water half sugar) and use that instead. I would start with 3/4 cup and then add more as needed ๐ Please let me know if you make it! xo

Oh this just looks out of this world good. I’m all over lemonade. It’s one of my favorite summer treats. I had peach lemonade for the first time this year – raspberries are a great addition to that! ๐ Yum!

This lemonade looks so good. It’s winter and I’d be happy for a glass right now. Sorry it’s been so hot. We’re happy to take summer back if you’re done with it. ๐

We love a good vodka-lemonade around here (or a gin and lemonade) – this sounds so refreshing… hope it cools off a bit for you.
