One of the best things about living out of the city? Our backyard! Our new home has a pretty giant backyard, and after 5 years of NO yard at all, let’s just say I’ve been taking advantage of its vast awesomeness every chance I get. Even if that means grilling in the (quite relentless) snow…
Do you grill during the cold WInter months? I know many people don’t. Growing up I was always shocked at how many people pack up their grills come late September and store them away until the May sunshine returns.
My Mom was not one of those people…
I vividly remember her swooshing through the kitchen and out to the back patio, hands full of burger patties and decked head to toe in Winter gear. What can I say? The woman loves her meat, and she loves it charred and grilled to perfection… no wicked East Coast temperatures were going to stop her from getting it.
Yes, I know. My mom is pretty awesome 😉
So, naturally, I don’t find grilling in the Winter weird or brutal. In fact, I love it! We usually make a whole event out of it, bundling our bodies up real good, then heading outside – with the patio chairs and a few cold brews – to watch our dinner grill to perfection. You should try it!
These burgers are from our most recent grilling adventure. Thick juicy all-beef patties are seasoned with salt, pepper, and splash of Kraft Barbecue Sauce and grilled to juicy perfection! Each burger patty then gets dressed up with smoked mozzarella, grilled pineapple slices, and bacon! If you’ve never had pineapple on your burger before, I urge you to give it a try! It’s a nice pop of tropical flavor, and grooves wonderfully aside the smokey cheese, crispy bacon, and tangy barbecue sauce.
I used the original Kraft barbecue sauce for these burgers and I have to say I absolutely loved the flavor! This month Kraft Barbecue Sauce is celebrating the launch of their newly revamped line of sauces with recipes that feature high-quality ingredients like tomatoes, sweet molasses, cider vinegar and cane sugar. The new Kraft Barbecue Sauce is available in eight varieties: Original (used in this recipe!), Hickory Smoke, Sweet Honey, Mesquite Smoke, Sweet Brown Sugar, Sweet & Spicy, Spicy Honey, and Thick & Spicy. I can’t wait to try all of them!
We loved using the awesome Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt – it’s a specially designed, fire-resistant grilling glove that protects the griller’s hands from both the heat of the grill and the chill of the outdoors during winter grilling season. This definitely came in handy since the day we decided to grill was pretty cold and windy! The unique design of the top insert can hold many grill tools, making it easy to flip, stab, and baste with ease and precision. Win!
Ready for some great news? You can enter for a chance to win an Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt of your own and a year’s supply of Kraft Barbecue Sauce. To enter, simply visit GrillinFools.com between January 19 and January 30. The winner will be randomly selected at the close of the giveaway. Good luck 🙂
