This is the ultimate cookie recipe for folks who want to use minimal ingredients and still bake up a cookie packed with personality! Made with butter, cream cheese, sugar, flour, and Oreos – these soft and chewy cookies and cream stuffed treats are sure to be a new favorite!
If you’re looking at the screen, scratching your head, and thinking “heeeeeey lady… haven’t I seen these EXACT COOKIES somewhere before…?”, you, my friend, are absolutely correct! This is an old recipe of mine that I decided to dig up and bake again. You know… for research 😉
But, really! I do occasionally like to re-make old recipes I’ve posted just to see if there are any kinks that need working out. I only want to give you guys the best! And if that means making and re-making soft, chewy, heavenly cheesecake cookies, I will do it.
It’s a hard job… but someones gotta do it 😉 I’m glad it’s me. These cookies ———> tasty town central!!!
The good news: These cookies are exactly as amazing as I remembered them to be!
A few tips before you make these delectable treats!
1) A couple of my lovely readers made these cookies and found them to be totally delish but a little less sweet then they were expecting. After a few test runs, I found the sugar amount indicated in the recipe to be completely sufficient in sweetness. That said, if you have a MAJOR sweet tooth, you may always add a 1/4 cup more. It doesn’t hurt them one bit 😉
2) The cookies come out of the oven SOFT. And I mean sooooooooooooft, you guys. Please (please please pretty pretty please) just let them chill out on the pan, untouched, for at least an hour. I know… waiting is so hard. Trust me I know! But the slow cool on the hot pan is how these cookies get their chewy exterior and soft, cheesecake-like interior. Totally worth the wait!
3) Um… GO MAKE THESE NOW! You can thank me later 😉

I made these exactly as your recipe stated except I doubled the batch. They were amazing!! I’ve got to stop eating them or I won’t have any for the kiddos at Easter dinner tomorrow!! I read the reviews and saw that some said they were like a biscuit, but mine were not like that at all. So easy, soft and fabulous! Definitely will make these again. So very simple and dangerously good! Thanks for a great recipe! ** I may have added more than the required Oreos- LoL**

It’s the one downside I find to blogging, you make something great and you just want to make it again but you feel you have to make something new to write about. I love your idea of ‘retesting’ recipes, I should dig out a couple of my favourites and have a go. As you’ve proved with this post, some recipes are just too darn good to only share once! These cookies just look so fantastic!
